story - somewhere i belong - final part October 04, 2003 | 6:26 pm
i walk through the door and the first thing to hit me is mikes arms as he holds me as tightly as ever. i feel awful and so try not to have any impact and just stand there in shock. which to be honest is more of the truth than feeling guilty.
<<
i thought id lost you mike gasps i tried to run after you but you had gone im sorry i whisper Im just glad you are back and im sorry for being such a bastard to you its alright i say back thanks a lot steve. tell louise i said thanks a lot as well when you see her. im so glad you found her and brought her back safe and sound. id never forgiven myself if something had happened to her try being her make-shift parents laughs steve, shall be off then. just be careful with her will do and thanks again i owe you one! mike calls after steve as he leaves in his car so what am i going to do with you then? mike smiles as he gives me another hug i dont know be the next aidan? i guess but better -- mikes record company had only one condition on breaking the contract, which was only fair seeing as how much they had putten into their lives. this record company treat their bands well. our band was on an independent label which basically means contacts through contacts. the contract was to do with releasing a greatest hits album with a goodbye song on it, but also a song that says ill meet you on the other side. mike wrote the lyrics as he was the closest to wanting that. well they all are. they all want something from the other side of the fickle world of fame. now they are closer to finding their ways so what do you think mike asks me as soon as he has perfected and re-wrote it, and the same again and again! i think its amazing i say as i look at the words -- if you were me and i were you missing links and hidden phrases being a person that ive lost in another existence mix the fantasy with the reality save it to the morning after dont you understand that the pain left with the rain?
